Bridges is a formidable piece of work, recorded in a great sounding old church in Tuscany. Theessink is joined by three very accomplished sidemen on drums, bass and keyboards and a terrific trio of Zimbabwean singers. Hans crosses borders, steps between genres and builds 'Bridges' between them for us all to enjoy. There's some Afro feel in there, and plenty of delta drenched sounds with hints of Gospel too and then just plain old simple damn good song writing. Hell that's one potent cocktail!!
