This is the first album by this Dutch singer, guitarist and songwriter that contains mostly cover versions of songs by his favorite blues and country singers! Basically a solo album with a little help from his American and English friends, "Songs from the Southland" makes effective use of Hans Theessink's incredible sense for modern versions of the blues.
