The knock on these L.A. up-and-comers is that they sound too much like Smashing Pumpkins, but seeing as how Smashing Pumpkins donβt even sound like Smashing Pumpkins anymoreβas Billy Corgan is intent on alienating his entire fanbaseβweβll give βem a pass. The quartet has no shortage of blissfully fuzzed-out firebombs in their arsenal, including this recordβs appropriately tense "Panic Switch," which flaunts a noisy but ultra-catchy sing-along chorus.
