1983's 'Let's Dance' was one of David Bowie's most commercially successful albums and so needed a tour to match. Named 'Serious Moonlight', the tour sold much better than expected forcing Bowie into less intimate venues than planned. Perhaps this explains why it featured an uncharacteristic one costume change.
