''Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast'' is Kid Rock's debut album, released by Jive Records in 1990. A college radio station, WSUC-FM 90.5 Cortland, NY which played an uncensored version of the song "Yo-Da-Lin In the Valley" was fined $23,700 by the FCC. Jive dropped Kid Rock soon after. The album sold only 1,000 copies upon initial release. This remains the only Kid Rock album to be available at the iTunes store.
Oakland rapper Too $hort produced tracks on the album. KRS-One associate D-Nice produced the remainder of the album, with the exception of "Yo-Da-Lin in the Valley," which was produced by Mike E. Clark. - Wikipedia
