Pre-Order: The Dead South - Silence, Please [Black]

On their fifth album, Silence, Please, The Dead South cast tales of pitfalls and windfalls, heroes and villains, choices and consequences. Darker, harder, louder and moodier, the new songs see complex characters reckoning with judgement and its arbiters, righteous, dishonorable or self-inflicted as it may be. By its title, the new album is about quieting the commotion - the noise, the haters and the loudest of all, the voices in our own heads - to stay true to oneself. Through it all, The Dead South's sense of adventure and stylistic individuality is felt at every turn. From doom metal banjo to saintly choirs, high lonesome harmonies, prog punk and gleeful sing-alongs, Silence, Please is an album that deserves your listen.
