Description
Erich Leinsdorf was undoubtedly one of the greatest Wagnerian conductors of the twentieth century, as evidenced by his thirty-year tenure at the Metropolitan Opera. This CD presents several of his interpretations recorded in the mid-1960s; of particular importance among them is the Gotterdammerung synthesis, released here for the first time.
